Obama suggests taxing by the mile

they like to call it revenue
clue to the repukes, with Obama care (reparations in disguise), whore-rific spending, libtard handouts to the slackers, and complete miss-management of the economy why the fuck is Trump the king of birthers still the front runner.
The party can't be that inept is it?

Ummm Trump isn't. Christie is ahead of him, among others.

Taxing by the mile is a friggin stupid idea. The fact that the morons are even suggesting 'studying' it is a complete waste of tax payers money.

If you want to tax more, you raise the gas tax. That penalizes those who use more gas either by driving more miles OR by driving less efficient vehicles. To try and tax by the mile, you would create yet another nightmarish government bureaucracy.

The draft bill says the "study framework" for the project and a public awareness communications plan should be established within two years of creating the office, and that field tests should begin within four years.

The office would be required to consider four factors in field trials: the capability of states to enforce payment, the reliability of technology, administrative costs and "user acceptance." The draft does not specify where field trials should begin.

The new office would be funded a total of $300 million through fiscal 2017 for the project.

$300 million WASTED if this goes forward. Call/write your rep/Senators and stop this bullshit before it starts.

I was thinking that same thing. Topper buys a Prius and I keep my Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. He drives 300 miles a week and I drive 200, so he pays more tax?? WTF?

Imagine what this would do to the rural areas that supply food, and those who deliver it. This is massively stupid inflationary and punishes people who provide our dinner...

Bad plan. Just incredibly stupid.

Oh, it's be easy and non-invasive. They'd just install a GPS monitor in your car that kept track of its location and distance traveled. No big deal.

People were already very upset with cellphone companies that had GPS tracking their location. Imagine how they would respond to the Govt doing this

In Washington State, Exxon makes 2 cents profit per gallon. The State coffers take in 55 cents per gallon in taxes. Who are the greedy ones?

This shit started in Oregon about a year ago. The tree huggers up thier bought so many vagina mobiles that thier gas tax collection plummented.
They gave an extra $1,000 off to the gaylords that came in with European man purses.

that might be the idea, just sayin

When they start taxing a Prius it's proof the democrats never see a moving wallet they don't want to tax.
