Why President Obama will go into history as ONE OF THE GREATS!

Lets start with the biggest reason, and in my opinion, the worst reason... That is that he is the first Black President ever elected. He will not be the last, but he is and will always be the first black. The same thing will happen with the first woman. It will not matter is they are the WORST presidents ever, they will be honored greatly by history... I am talking about being on currency, bridges, cities and more named after them... New Orleans or Detroit quite likely will become Obamaville.

Now on to the good reasons!


He has done an amazing job, he got a Health Care bill passed where presidents including Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt and Bill Clinton failed! Many, Many Americans LOVE the Health Care bill, I am one who belives it did not go far enough, but it is a GREAT start. That alone is enough for me to consider him great.

In addition to the above, he has brought the economy from the brink of total dissaster. I belive it was MUCH worse than many acknoledged and that we were close to total meltdown, it did not happen.

Sure Id love a faster recovery, but many will say, slower is likely more sustainable. I dont like how much the government is spending, but honestly I believe it is a necessary evil due to the mess we were put in by the policies the other side would like to return to.

Just four months ago, the right was screaming about how interest rates were going to be out of coutrol and how we were facing a double dip..... Those things did not happen! Looks like the Obama Economic team was pretty strong to prevent such dire predictions...!

On the war, well in the senseless one, the one Obama was against from the start, the major combat operations are finally OVER, troop levels are a fraction of what they were, and there roll is vastly different. That is an achievement!!! IN Afganastan, finally, those who attacked us on 9-11 are feeling the pain, and while men are dying, they are dying for a legitatmate goal and a safer America...!



So, ya, I kinda think he has been one of the Greats thus far....and he is only 2 years into what will likely be an amazing 8 years of American rebirth!
 
Not bad....you and Steven Colbert would make a good team.....another Martin and Louis or Bud and Abbot.....not bad at all...
 
It's hard to believe someone can live in such a fantasy world.
Whatever. have fun with your black president. He's a failure and a joke. His party is melting down so far they are reduced to calling names and using the media to scare the public. Conservatives are turning on establishment republicans and voting in newbies out of desperation. We know we can no longer trust either party. It's too bad the democrats have not done the same. I would love to see a moderate democrat that understood economics. Most of them are just bleeding hearts

Since you ran away from answering this question in one your other hack posts.. I'll ask it again....

Explain the Health Care Bill and how it benefits you and I. ... I mean you are championing it here so you must know something about it. Also, you are a lawyer...or so you say.. explain to me how it is Constitutionally correct for my Govt to mandate buying an Insurance Product on my being....

I think otherwise, Because of the Mandate to purchase Insurance, I dont believe this bill passes Constitutional muster and I also think it allows the Govt arms to be stretched to far into Private Business.

The bottom line is this: The Obama healthcare law requires Americans to buy health insurance starting in 2014 or pay a penalty to the government. The penalty is the higher of a fine of $695.00 or 2.5 percent of your income. If your income is $50,000 and you don’t buy the required “minimum essential coverage,” your 2014 income tax bill will increase by $1,250.00

Oh..also how about this :


First Amendment (Establishment Clause) and Fourteenth Amendment (Equal Protection Clause) – [Quote: "Exempts from the coverage requirement individuals who object to health care coverage on religious grounds"]: Although the courts allowed the Amish not to pay Social Security tax, this bill would be different if it exempts the Amish and Muslims from participating in the system while forcing the Catholics to participate in it.




Article 1, sections 1 and 8 (Powers of the Congress) and Article 5 (Procedure to Amend the Constitution) – [Quote: "It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection."] – The quoted text effectively amends the Constitution and abridges the law-making authority of Congress. This has been done without two-thirds majority.




Article 1, Section 8 (Commerce Clause) – The commerce clause grants rights to regulate interstate commerce, not intrastate commerce (health insurance is not interstate commerce since you cannot buy it across state lines). Secondly, not buying insurance is not commerce.




Fourth Amendment – The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated




Fifth Amendment – nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.




Tenth Amendment – The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

maybe the guy ought get impeached for shoving such a scam down the throats of the American Public ...

The Democrats nominated and got elected an OUTSIDER.... His name was Obama.

I was with my family all weekend, but, Ill give this a shot.... It might take me some time....

The healthcare bill helps me first and foremost by ensuring that all Americans have access to quality healthcare. This means that even the weakest among us will be covered, when that happens, we are all stronger. The next Albert Einstein might be in that group. The bill also helps me by ensuring that people's healthcare is paid for up front and not around the back with my tax dollars... (its much cheaper this way). Additionally eventually it will make my healthcare cheaper and the quality of the care better.

Ill take a shot at your other points when I am back in the office tomorrow afternoon...

Where'd I say Obama wasn't qualified? I just said his staff sucks and fail at their jobs. Eric Holder sucks. He actively works against the interests of this country and wastes precious resources fighting states trying to solve problems.

Okay lets address this one, I could be wrong, but I do not believe that any religous groups are legitatmatly religously opposed to participating in a health insurance program. It would have to be more tham simple religous opposition to a political idea to be deemed by the court to violative of the first Amendment.

I also do not belive that this bill exempts Muslams and Amish on the same grounds that it binds the Catholics, but if you have a cite, I am willing to read it.

Ill address more of your points later.
