This is exactly what us knuckledraggers have been saying
Thanks for playing, Obama.
You just made our case.
The democrats have created the scariest economic uncertainties people have seen in a generation or more.
The problem is the health bill. It was mistakenly sold as a cost saver by the people who didn't read it and trusted insurance experts to write it.
Small business is waiting to see what happens this fall. If democrats retain power, you'll see the conditions get worse as companies work on shedding employees to a level that will be feasible with the new insurance requirements.
New hiring will stall in all but the best paying jobs which will still retain the health benefits they do now. This is likely to be a non-issue to the upper 30% of earners. Nobody expects this to hurt the people near the top.( Not their fault anyway. Everyone is expected to earn money)
I understand people who support the idea of universal healthcare, but the health bill wasn't even close and it's funny to see people call it a first step.
What they've done is like mandating everyone to purchase a car because the car dealers can't afford to make a profit selling for the car companies.
Your theory is that the dealers will be able to give everyone a better deal because you made everyone buy a car.
The car maker is nowhere in your equation.
It's your hope that the car maker will lower the price because he suddenly has more customers to please and has to create a model for every situation imaginable
Except, in my analogy, everyone would at least get a car.
I couldn't think of a better example besides gambling
