Documents obtained by the ACLU through a Freedom of Information Act request revealed that under President Obama between 2009 and 2011, warrantless electronic surveillance requests by the Justice Department to spy on phone communications increased 60 percent from 23,535 to 37,616.

So BAC is the only person that is consistent because he decided to hate Obama over the things on which they disagreed? That's awesome. I don't like much of Obama's foreign policy and I don't like his position on the Patriot Act, but I haven't decided to hate him over it.

It was pretty clear what we were getting when Obama voted for the Patriot Act reauthorization that legalized the illegal wiretapping under Bush and immunized the cooperating telcos and his pledge to ramp up the war in Afghanistan. He's doing the same shit that I expected from him. What is there to complain about? He's exercising authority that he voted for President Bush to have. You think he wouldn't use it now that he's President?
