New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced during a Monday interview with PIX11 Morning News that shoppers must remove their masks before entering businesses, arguing that this policy will make it easier for the New York Police Department (NYPD) to identify criminals.

Surgeons wear them because they frequently stick their faces within inches of open wounds. They don't want to transfer BACTERIA into open wounds. Big difference from shopping and trying to stop viruses.


The study said that “wearing a mask may make little to no difference in how many people caught a flu‐like illness/COVID‐like illness … and probably makes little or no difference in how many people have flu/COVID confirmed by a laboratory test.”

The Cochrane Library study looked at N95s and P2s, which are the European version of N95s.

What’s so unusual about it, if you want to wear a mask just don’t put it on till after you enter the store, nothing noteworthy there, things must be getting desperate over there in Tuckerville if that is all you can come up with

I've gone in wearing a hoodie, covid mask, and sunglasses, just waiting for somebody to say something.

Not before COVID :laugh: And not anymore. Isolation rooms require masking to protect the visitors from transmissible bacterial infections. How many years have you worked in hospitals? I first started working in them when I was 16.

So when the "studies" suggested wearing masks might be helpful...you laughed at them. And now, since the "studies" are saying they may not have been as helpful as they thought...you are saying "they prove" they were worthless.

You have to look at how the study was conducted.


Yes the notion that a standard hospital mask was might be helpful makes about as much sense as expecting a chain link fence to stop mosquitoes .

Actually...nothing is proven in either direction. Some suggestions were made...now those suggestions are being rescinded.

And as I said it all depends on how the study was conducted. Frank show me a study that YOU think proves standard hospital masks are very effective at stopping viruses. And I will show you what I mean.
