Crime rates in NYC have been at record lows for more than a decade. There was actually a 24 hour period without a single violent crime... AMONG 8 MILLION PEOPLE!!!
 
As a President, they can lose a lot of things, but once they lose the Generals ... they end up dead in a Fox Hole. :cool:

Crime has been dropping all over the world, though. NYC is still one of the most dangerous cities in the West.

NYC has one of the lowest homicide rates among American cities. It has a lower homicide rate than America in general. NYC's homicide rate is 3.4 per 100,000, while America's is nearly 5 per 100,000. Usually a densely populated city would have a higher murder rate than the country in general.

America in general has an extremely high murder rate. There are guns freely moving over the state and city borders. Not much NYC can do about that. But they are doing a great job at preventing crime.

Humanity is less violent today than at any time in history. There are less murders per thousand today than ever.

NYC is doing financially well, because humanity has no replacement. Do you think Hong Kong can take its place? It had no chance a year ago, and has less chance now. London was looking like a regional NYC for Europe, but now it has left the EU.

NYC was hit hard by the pandemic, but that could have been far worse, and it is recovering now. NYC saw a bit of rioting, but not much. NYC's economy is heavily based on Wall Street. NYC is economically doing blockbuster in a world that is collapsing.
 
Even trump does not want to be in trump country. trump recently spoke about going home to NYC, seemingly having forgotten he does not legally live there anymore.
