NY Attorney General's Probe of Trump Foundation Appears to Widen

The documents relate to a legal dispute that Trump settled with the town using foundation money. The details of the 2007 Palm Beach case were first reported by the Washington Post last week.ral's investigation of the Donald J. Trump Foundation appears to have broadened to include new allegations of self-dealing by Trump that surfaced after the probe began, TPM has learned.

The contact with Palm Beach by the Attorney General's Office suggests its probe had widened to include other alleged acts of self-dealing. The Attorney General's Office declined to comment Thursday.

Self-dealing -- or the use of a charity's money to the personal benefit of one of its operators -- is a major no-no in charity world, and a violation of both state law in New York, where the Trump Foundation is registered, and IRS regulations, according to legal and tax experts.

In interviews last week with a wide range of tax and charity law experts that included a former charities investigator in the New York Attorney General's Office, the experts told TPM that investigations into "self-dealing" could result in a settlement between the charity and prosecutors, or, if the charity is uncooperative, a legal case could be brought.

I can't wait for Trump to 'hit' Hillary at the next debate with the mention of the Clinton Foundation.
 
I think he will say a lot of stupid things next debate, no matter how much they prep him. If he mentions Bill, they have prepped her, if he mentions the Clinton Foundation, he's toast, she's prepped. He can't focus, his attention span is that of a 5 year old. He won't be able to keep his restraint with all the new info coming out about him.

He already said he's not going to prepare, he's going to wing it like he did in the first debate.

He keeps announcing the ways he's going to hit Hillary and he's too stupid to understand how that helps her.

He is stupid, like insulting his daughter and his in laws by asking an audience if he should have the non Christians leave the rally!!!!! I guess he thinks Jews are Christian? The guy is radioactive.

There's an obvious difference between the spouse of a candidate's bad deeds, and an actual candidate's bad deeds.

I know it just baffles me! These cheaters talking about a cheater and thinking they can rattle her with Bill's infidelity. Lol she is so use to yesterday's news, and so steeled against it.
