It is actually a prison they are building for themselves, not you or me. They can't control what you say, or what I say, or the words we use to say it.

The so-called Tech Overlords are really just a few companies. Alternate systems providing these services are already in place and in some ways are better than the so-called 'original'. Check out Parler, Rumble, Gab, and other such open source or politically tolerant servers.
The Mobs can threaten and even beat up people and even try to kill them for what they say. They can't stop them from saying it. Self defense is a thing, you know. It works.
No bureaucrat can control what you say or the words you use to say it.

There is no Utopia, and it's not possible to implement one. Even in dictatorships and oligarchies, where government routinely kills people for 'what they say' does not prevent them from saying it, and it does not suppress the message, which is taken up by others.
No dictatorship or oligarchy can last forever. Once you run out of people to steal from, it collapses. This is what happened to the USSR, and what has happened to China over and over (a nation racked with almost continuous violent revolution, with the notable exception of the current regime, for now).

You may kill an individual dissident, but the message goes on. Want an example? Jesus Christ.

There is nothing to worry about about in a House the imprisons itself this way. It doesn't affect you at all. Since idiots here on JPP do support this, however, you can help me point out where they are violating their own mandates.

What the Democrats are proposing here--or wanting here--is in essence replacing all nouns about gender they don't like with the equivalent of "it." Take any post in this thread with gender nouns or pronouns in it and replace them all with "it." That's what a speech in the House should look like under this rule.

This is utter nonsense. Words have meaning and abolishing them as the House has done is nothing more than a variant of Orwell's Newspeak. It amounts to the same thing. It tries to limit how you can think and express ideas so that they can only be made in a politically correct way.

again, they were talking about language used in bills they write. like a reasonable person would do, since we do have different family members and relationships going on today, not every couple is Ozzie and Harriet, and not every person is heterosexual.

I have no problem with using 'mom' or 'dad' or 'brother' or 'sister'. I will continue to use these words. You cannot though, not without creating a paradox.
