Yet that number dropped dramatically in recent months, Hipsman said — not simply because of Trump’s executive orders, but because Obama’s administration tightened policy, expediting deportations to Haiti, at the end of 2016.

“In some ways, it’s not surprising that the numbers have dropped in response to the rhetoric by Trump's administration,” Hipsman said. “But it's far from certain that will be sustained.”

Wrong in that it's a common phenomenon that has happened before but never lasts. The numbers always go back up.

So at best, you all are doing what right-wingers always do, which is celebrate imaginary victories before they happen.

Given the valuable services most of them perform in comparison to the relatively small number of problems they cause, I can say that I do not see illegals as a major problem.

Certainly nowhere near the extent the right-wing paranoia over them has made it appear to be.

No there's other far worse problems. e.g., gubmint waste, fraud and abuse. But let's face it - dims look the other way when it comes to illegal aliens from south of the border because they look the other way, no condone them voting illegally because they have a strong tendency to vote dim.
