Nobody is curious about Musk being Twitter's largest stockholder ?

A thread was started earlier about it. Will be interesting to see what his true intentions are.

missed it I guess. perhaps it was similarly ignored.

well he spent a lot of money in the process. I have to assume he has plans. He does have a lot of money to piss away but he's not known to piss away money. that said he is not a hands on guy but he does acquire very knowledgeable guys to get things done.

according to published reports it is. but journalism being what it is today.....

Haha, that was good. WSJ, the Financial Times, WaPo, NPR, CNN and others all have headlines stating Musk to be the largest shareholder. But like you said...

gotta like his attitude regarding free speech. cant believe he would spend the money if he didnt intend to do something about it.
Minority shareholder. He has no power to 'do' anything.

He bought at about $32, and now it's up over $50. That's what he had in mind. He can dump it and make more than 1/2 billion overnight.

if you are the top stockholder and youre the richest man on the planet, a lot more than you suspect.

Elliot Management owned like 4% of Twitter and launched a campaign to remake the Board and try to get Dorsey out as CEO. Musk owns over double what they do. I don’t pretend to know his plans here but to your point you don’t need to own 50% of the stock to force changes at a company.

10% is more than enough and musk certainly knows how to leverage his influence
