No More Affirmative Action

President Obama was elected Prez and re-elected Prez, without using or needing Affirmative Action. Obama being elected to the highest Office in the US proves that we do not need affirmative action no mo. The only reason that Libs want affirmative action is to appease the Black vote, they could care less about the African American per se. Radical Leftists want votes anyway they can get them, through hook and crook if necessary, these people have no scruples, and many cannot be trusted, even on this Forum.

No, AA is about countering favoritism, nepotism and cronyism in the workplace. AA doesn't address all issues minorities have. Get your facts straight.
 
Affirmative Action was a republican idea. There WILL, hopefully, come a day when it is no longer needed in America. Unfortunately - and espcially unfortunate for the republican party - that day is not today.

The only unfortunate ones are people like your kids and grandkids that will suffer discrimination long after AA is supposedly 'not needed'.... it has become
ingrained as it is and as the non-whites become even more the majority, it will only get worse....

The term "affirmative action" was first used in the United States in Executive Order 10925 and was signed by President John F. Kennedy on 6 March 1961; it was used to promote actions that achieve non-discrimination. In 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson enacted Executive Order 11246 which required government employers to take "affirmative action" to hire without regard to race, religion and national origin. In 1967, gender was added to the anti-discrimination list.
