Chester County sheriff's deputies are investigating the weekend shooting death of a man in the Edgemoor community.
Authorities say 50-year-old Marvin Cherry of Edgemoor died Sunday night after he was shot.
Deputies responding to a report of a shooting found the 72-year-old man who apparently fired the shot sitting in a chair outside the home.
Deputies consulted with prosecutors and decided against taking the man into custody.
