In a video titled "Passover Season: God's Divine Appointment With You!" posted on March 23, 2025, Paula White-Cain, Donald Trump’s spiritual advisor, encouraged viewers to donate to her ministry, suggesting that such offerings could unlock "seven supernatural blessings" based on Exodus 23.

According to the Christian Post in the YouTube video titled “Passover Season: God’s Divine Appointment With You!” posted March 23, White, 58, “claims that honoring God during Passover, which begins April 12 at sundown, will unlock divine — and monetary — rewards.”

White is an American televangelist, and a major apostolic leader in the independent charismatic movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation and is a proponent of prosperity theology. [For more on White’s “rags to riches story,” see (“She’s baaaaaack!.”]

White, a notorious prosperity gospel hustler, says in the video: "I believe that when you honor God on Passover, starting on April 12, at sundown through Good Friday on the 18th, and concluding on Easter Sunday, you can receive these seven supernatural blessings for you and your house.

“According to Exodus 23, God will assign an angel to you. He'll be an enemy to your enemies. He'll give you prosperity. He'll take sickness away from you. He will give you long life. He'll bring increase in inheritance, and He'll give a special year of blessing. You're not doing this to get something, but you're doing it in honor to God, realizing what you can receive."

“With a portion of Exodus 23, she takes God’s promise to the Children of Israel and applies it today to those who give her $1,000 or more,” Baptist News Global pointed out.

For a gift of $50 or more, viewers can receive White's devotional and a communion CD. A $125 donation yields a "special olive wood communion set from the Holy Land." Those who give a "special Passover offering of $1,000 or more, as the Holy Spirit leads," receive all of the above, plus a 10-inch Waterford Crystal Cross. The voiceover then declares: "Don't miss your moment to release seven supernatural blessings and provision into your life." The seven supernatural blessings are listed on the $1,000 donation graphic.:palm:

Mediaite's Sarah Rumpf reported: "This Easter donation solicitation is not the first time she has asked people to send money in exchange for 'supernatural protections.' In March 2020, White was scheduled to be the featured speaker at a religious conference in Phoenix, Arizona that was selling non-refundable tickets and promised attendees 'Supernatural Protection from the CoronaVirus Now,' along with 'the cure for every virus and plague!' After backlash, White withdrew from the conference."

A spokesperson for Paula White Ministries played the victim care, telling the Christian Post that “This story is a deceptive smear. Pastor White specifically says in the very same video, ‘you’re not doing this to get something,’ and the solicitation, which was later in the program, makes it clear that any donation to the ministry should only be ‘as the Holy Spirit leads.’ Moreover, donations to the ministry do not directly benefit Pastor White.”

The spokesperson added, “While this response to your inquiry is not in her capacity as a White House senior advisor, it is worth noting that Pastor White has declined compensation entirely for her role in the White House as she did during the 45th presidency.”

Rachel Laser, president of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, offered a more accurate assessment: “Televangelist Paula White was unfit to serve in the White House when Trump first appointed her in 2019 and she’s still unfit today — particularly in a position that could focus on combating discrimination and advancing religious freedom for all. White is a Christian nationalist powerbroker who’s spent much of her career operating in the shadows to influence public policies that discriminate against women, LGBTQ people and religious minorities, and the nomination of partisan judges who will support those harmful policies.”

Religion is a tool to make lots of money by fooling the rubes. It is not much different than what Trump does.
