I cannot count the number of times I've seen right-wingers make the completely false claim that the people who rioted, burned and looted during the BLM riots were allowed to just walk away while the police made no effort to find, arrest and charge them with crimes.
But like so much of the false narratives that get put forth from the extremists on BOTH SIDES, it is all just more partisan bullshit.
You all ought to try to keep this in mind from now on when you get the urge to falsely complain that the BLM rioters got away Scot free with no consequences.
And BTW, I fully support and applaud the punishment these two not only got, but deserved.

On Thursday afternoon, Judge Brian Cogan of U.S. District Court in Brooklyn sentenced Mattis, one of two young lawyers who burned the vehicle during the protests days after the murder of George Floyd, to 12 months and a day in prison and a year of post-release supervision.
Mattis, 35, has lost his law license, having pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit arson and having acknowledged he had broken the law he had sworn to uphold.
In November, the judge had sentenced Urooj Rahman, Mattis’ friend and a fellow lawyer, to 15 months in prison and two years of supervised release for the same crime.
