HAVE A SEAT

South Carolina is now prepared to carry out executions by firing squad, the state Department of Corrections told the state Attorney General's office on Friday.

Once approval comes from the state Supreme Court, the death sentences facing the state's 35 death-row inmates can follow.

The Capital Punishment Facility inside Broad River Correctional Institute in Columbia houses the state death chamber, which has been renovated to accommodate a firing squad.

The firing-squad chair faces a wall with a rectangular opening 15 feet away. The squad's rifles and the open portal will not be visible from the execution chamber's witness room.

Witnesses will see the right-side profile of the inmate, and the inmate will not face the witness room directly.

The inmate will be strapped into the chair, and a hood will be placed over their head. A small aim point will be placed over their heart, and after the warden reads the execution order, the firing squad will fire.

After the shots, a doctor will examine the inmate. Once the inmate is declared dead, the curtain will be drawn and witnesses escorted out.

Leftists hate the truth, and here's the proof

Infuriated By Failing NY Times Editorial Recognizing Cancel Culture Problem, Leftists Cancel Subscriptions

The unthinkable has happened.

The failing New York Times, which proudly boasts of having one of the most “woke” (and intolerant) newsrooms of any news organization in America, has finally come around to admitting not only that cancel culture does exist, but that’s it’s also dangerous for our society.

In an opinion piece published Friday, the editorial board first noted in their headline that “America Has a Free Speech Problem.”

Within the piece, they pointed out how the “social silencing” that “has been evident for years” needed to be pushed back on, but that “dealing with it stirs yet more fear.”

It generated outrage from the Usual Suspects for whom suppressing the speech of conservatives is paramount to both their professional survival and their acceptance among elite cocktail circuit movers and shakers.

Hilariously, some noted that they were rushing to cancel their subscriptions to the paper, proving the point about leftist cancel culture:

Perhaps more disturbingly were the journalism professors who had meltdowns over the failing Times’ admission of an inconvenient truth.

Medical marijuana use may lead to addiction, not aid health, Harvard study finds

ARE YOU A DOPE?

March 18 (UPI) -- Many people given a medical marijuana card to ease pain, anxiety or depression symptoms become addicted to the drug, a study published Friday by JAMA Network Open found.

In addition, those in the study who use marijuana to treat those symptoms did not see any improvement, though some with insomnia experienced improved sleep, the data showed.

People using medical marijuana at greatest risk for developing the symptoms of cannabis use disorder, or addiction, were those seeking relief from anxiety and depression, the researchers said.

This suggests the need for stronger safeguards over the dispensing and use of these cards as well as close monitoring of patients given them, they said.

Biden emails shed new light on fund securing millions from Russian with mob ties

scooby-doo-woof.gif

Leaked Treasury Department records obtained as part of the FinCen Files revealed that Hares Youssef, a Ukrainian-Syrian businessman with ties to Russian organized crime, paid mbloom — a now-defunct technology startup fund backed by Hawaii’s Strategic State Development Corporation and the Biden-owned firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP) — nearly $3 million.

The transaction was flagged via a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) by the City National Bank in Los Angeles based on reports tying Youssef to Semion Mogilevich — also known as "The Brainy Don" — as well as international arms trafficking. The SAR also pointed to allegations of Youssef being tied to Syrian General Maher al-Assad, the brother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

According to the OCCRP, suspicious activity reports, or SARs, "are secret alerts issued by bank compliance officers when there are suspicions that a transaction may be linked to crime or money laundering. The existence of a SAR is not itself evidence of wrongdoing."

CCRP also reported that financial records examined by reporters "show that money from mbloom was paid into [Devon] Archer's accounts, which was at the time making regular payments to Biden."

“I have said that I would stay in what I’m doing until we get out of the pandemic phase, and I think we might be there already,” Fauci told ABC’s “Start Here” podcast.

“I can’t stay at this job forever. Unless my staff is going to find me slumped over my desk one day; I’d rather not do that,” he added,

The 81-year-old Fauci’s remarks come as he’s under fire.
