Everyone knows that the president will enter the joint session during a State Of Union Address, make his way to the podium, pause and wait to be announced by the House Speaker.
And if it is a new elected House Speaker, the president will always, in turn, announce the newly elected House Speaker by congratulating them at the same time.
This has been tradition and standard protocol since the very first State Of Union Address in the House, and every previous president has always kept that tradition going.
Of course Donald Trump is so ignorant and arrogant and makes everything all about him, he completely brain-farted and forgot to follow the tradition, and just started in with his ME, ME, ME- It's all about ME speech- preaching to his own choir of idiots and lost souls!

I am not aware of the existence of any real fact checking sites that actually check facts. All I have seen are sites that claim to be fact checking sites, that use "fact checking" as euphemism for spinning lefty agenda.
Hats off to you for finding something of merit besides Nancy's clap. It is rare that a lefty can answer an opening post correctly, but your post passes. While failing to announce nancy correctly is not anything to do with the actual content of the speech, it is beyond the clap. Hopefully some lefty will come up with something of merit that disputes the actual content.

Nancy's clap was the clap that was heard around the world.
Was it a sarcastic clap- yes and no!
It was a clap that can only compare to the clap by a man's wife- after she discovers her husband just mounted a roll of toilet paper on it's intended wall dispenser- FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THEIR MARRIAGE!
This is the kind of clap that a House Speaker will give a president when he says something of value- For the first time since he has been in office- as if "Hey! You're finally catching on- and thank you- and we're ready- when you're ready"!!
I can only say, I remember that clap- because it is the same clap that my mom gave me several times when I was a kid- Like when I carried the trash out to the curb- without having to be asked- or when I learned how to tie my own tie- and it looked great- or when I learned how to wash and dry my own clothes- or bring home straight A's!
