n undercover, six-month penetration of the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations, (CAIR) by a former federal agent under the guise of converting to Islam, is the subject of a book that came out on October 15, 2009.

Author P. David Gaubatz is a trained U.S. Department-trained Arabic linguist and counterterrorism specialist who as a federal agent had the government's highest security clearance. His co-author is Paul Sperry, a media fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution, a former Washington bureau chief for Investor's Daily, and author of Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington.

This shit cracks me up. I heard about it yesterday. Basically the nutzos at WorldNetDaily had a young guy pretend to be a Muslim (he grew a beard and all) to infiltrate CAIR as an intern and they discovered that CAIR is an Islamic public policy group that engages in lobbying activities.

Hilarious.

And apparently there are some really dumbshit Republican members of Congress that think McCarthyism was cool as shit and are alleging that CAIR has infiltrated various homeland security related Congressional committees by posing as interns. I'm sure this will work out well for them. Jackasses.
