MSNBC Climate Change Poll

Well, that's kind of ignorant. Of course climate change is a danger, and creates a lot of conditions that are threatening not just to habitat but to lives & livelihoods.

The real question is, is there anything we can really do about it? I don't think there is. But that doesn't mean it's not a danger.

Isn't the point that MSNBC is mostly watched by liberal viewers important?

Well they probably know that there hasn't been any warming for over 17 years now.

Okay, let's just settle this silliness.

Yes, Earth has natural climate changes....the current point of the MAJORITY of scientist world wide is that MAN MADE pollution has enhanced and/or accelerated the process.

Ask yourself this question: If in less than 3 centuries you remove a 1/4 (an estimate) of the trees and forests on the planet...burn said foliage, and then pave over the area with concrete, glass and steel, and then pump synthesized pollutants into the atmosphere and water, do you not think this would have a noticeable effect on the environment?

Of course but what does that have to do with CO2? China is pumping out huge amounts of pollutants which cause aerosols and have an effect on clouds and storms. So the answer to that is stop building coal power stations and build many more gas and nuclear power stations instead.

Still on the band wagon, fool ?......what loyalty.

provide the evidence

It got considerably hotter with none of that not so long ago (grapes in england). Just because there is more asphalt where you or i live died not alter the fact that this a tiny footprint on the earth. Take a closer look at the claims if scientists. Its as phoney as Mann & Jones' numbers.

Of course but what does that have to do with CO2? TREES ABSORB CO2, AND THEN PRODUCE OXYGEN. SO DO A LOT OF OTHER FLORA AND FAUNA. If you REMOVE great areas of the aforementioned, then replace them with heat collecting concrete, then your industrial pollution is given an ENHANCED EFFECT, much less just naturally changing the eco-system and subsequent environment/climate! Oh and also remember that burning trees RELEASES CO2. Got that?China is pumping out huge amounts of pollutants which cause aerosols and have an effect on clouds and storms. So the answer to that is stop building coal power stations and build many more gas and nuclear power stations instead.

Nuclear power produces deadly waste which to date is just a ticking bomb of storage waiting for the next generation. Also, nuclear plants are not exactly the grand solution to energy costs, and have ALWAYS contributed to health and environment problems. When this is pointed out, the NRA merely moves the goal posts to minimize public reaction and save the industry major costs to meet safety criteria. If you like, I can provide you with proof to this.

And as I've documented several times on this thread, natural gas a'la fracking is not the answer, as that process produces dire results to local water, air and geography (tremors and quakes).

Here's a thought: solar, wind, stringent exhaust/extraction controls on gas, oil and coal and no nukes. Bottom line: you put solar panels on the top of skyscrapers and apartment complexes in major industrial cities and you severely reduce the energy consumption of oil, gas and coal.

Luckily turbolibs don't have the conviction to do anything but whine.

All you've done on a previous similar subject is bray like some neocon/teabagger/silly libertarian jackass....who just lap up whatever the powers-that-be feed you out of willful ignorance and fear. To date, neither you or your champion abraxas can adequately refute or address the FACTS I've put forth. Instead, you just flit from one subject to another....and groan like an idiot.

Here's a primer for you....take off your tinfoil hat and READ CAREFULLY AND COMPREHENSIVELY. Then we can discuss further.

As usual, you submit your opinion, supposition and conjecture as fact....which it is not.

Here's how I answered a similar stance from a mental compadre of yours. http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...NBC-Climate-Change-Poll&p=1481429#post1481429
