NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The mother of a then-6-year-old boy who shot a teacher at the city’s Richneck Elementary School in January was sentenced to 21 months in prison Wednesday on federal convictions related to the weapon used in the shooting.

Deja Taylor, 26, of Newport News, pleaded guilty in federal court here in June to one count of possessing a firearm while being a drug user and one count of lying on a background check about her marijuana use while purchasing the handgun that her son used to open fire on first-grade teacher Abigail Zwerner.

Lying on a federal firearms form. Where have we heard that before? :thinking: Plus Deja Taylor is a black woman so she is more than likely a DEMOCRAT.

You can't make that claim. It as not a political act. Her gun was used in a shooting. She did not secrete it from her kid. Don't you think those are factors that make it very different from Hunter?

Huh... Just like a certain President's son... Only he would have gotten a diversion program and no time if it weren't for a reasonable and smart judge seeing through the fix the DOJ gave him...
