A real job requires skills and a knowledge set. Politicians don't require having either. They just have to be likable or popular enough to get elected. They can be brain damaged (Fetterman anyone?), retarded (Hank "Guam might capsize" Johnson), senile (Biden), or any of a whole range of other variants of vacuously stupid and be a politician.
