It really SUCKS TO BE A DUNCE-O-CRAT AT THIS POINT...THEY HAVE TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THAT TEY ARE REALLY "NOT HAPPY", WHEN 90% SAY THEY ARE.

GET READY FOR THE HILARIOUS "DOOM and GLOOM" BUMMER-O-CRAT 2020 CAMPAIGN.....

New High of 90% of Americans Satisfied With Personal Life

•Americans' satisfaction with personal life highest in four-decade trend
•Two in three Americans say they are very satisfied, also a new high
•High-income households, Republicans, married adults the most satisfied

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Nine in 10 Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in their personal life, a new high in Gallup's four-decade trend. The latest figure bests the previous high of 88% recorded in 2003.

These results are from Gallup's Mood of the Nation poll, conducted Jan. 2-15, which also recorded a 20-year high in Americans' confidence in the U.S. economy.
The percentage of Americans who report being satisfied with their personal life is similar to the 86% who said in December that they were very or fairly happy -- though the happiness figure, while high, is on the low end of what Gallup has measured historically for that question.

Despite some variation, solid majorities of Americans have reported being satisfied with their personal life over the past few decades, with an average of 83% satisfied since 1979. The historical low of 73% was recorded in July 1979, as the effects of that year's oil crisis took a toll on U.S. motorists. During that poll's fielding dates, then-President Jimmy Carter delivered his "malaise speech," which was interpreted by some as placing blame on Americans themselves for the rough economic spot the country was in.

A 2019 survey on 10 aspects of Americans' lives found that they are most satisfied with their family life, their education and the way they spend their leisure time -- and least satisfied with the amount of leisure time they have, their household income and their job.

GETTING POPCORN FOR THE DAILY JPP LEFTLOSERS ATTEMPTS TO PRETEND THIS IS "BAD NEWS"...as WE KNOW THEY WILL.... :pke:

No they’re not. Don’t you watch the news? Everyone is wallowing in misery because Trump is the president.

Haha, exactly. Outside of JPP and a vocal minority in our media and online, politics doesn't dominate the daily lives of most people. And thus personal happiness isn't simply a matter of liking or disliking the President. (Novel things like family, personal relationships, relationship with God, USC football winning etc.)

Bingo! Shoot, I’m happy most of the time. If I was as unhappy as the news people I don’t think I could stand myself.

Their ECONOMIC WELFARE FIGURES VERY HIGH IN THIS....and who do you think they credit for that???

I generally credit myself when I do well, not a politician. Now if a politician specifically gave you a job that might be a different story but for most people if you spent years going to school, working your *ss off etc. why would you credit a politician for your success?

Great for you, really. But, to pretend that MAJOR ECONOMIC POLICY CHANGES do not have FAR-REACHING EFFECTS is not realistic.

Most Americans rely on others for their jobs...and small businesses have literally EXPLODED under Trumponomics...

CUT TAXES and REGS...and you get this economy....We the People are thriving....

This is remarkable. Means half of the fringe left is happy with Trump. As long with everyone else.

Not necessarily. Your conflating personal happiness with liking or disliking the President. Were you unhappy in your personal life for eight years because Obama was the President?

To each his own but to me if your personal happiness in life revolves liking or disliking the President then you have issues.

FINANCIAL WELL-BEING is one of the CORNERSTONES of "personal happiness". Read the whole link...

You are claiming one person is responsible for the financial well being of all people. That's not the case. It's also scary how much power you associate with the President.

I said no such thing. I SAID THIS:

To pretend that MAJOR ECONOMIC POLICY CHANGES do not have FAR-REACHING EFFECTS is not realistic.

CUT TAXES and REGS...and you get this economy....

MOST ASSUREDLY HAS HELPED WITH THE GENERAL MOOD OF THE COUNTRY...it just (obviously) KILLS YOU TO ADMIT IT.

SO BE IT.

THIS IS NOT SAYING THAT, IS IT?

SUFFICE TO TO SAY THAT THE POTUS HAS DONE HIS PART TO MAKE OUR LIVES BETTER.

Saw a meme the other day. Went something like “America was on the brink of her darkest hour, then God Gave Us Trump.” I thought, “Good grief.” A lady from church commented on it, “Blasphemy!” You know what? She’s right. Of course she got attacked for being unable to take things lightly, but it’s amazing how much each side either loves the guy or hates the guy.

Good story. The President is arguably the most powerful, or close to it, person in the world. So it's understandable why we pay so much attention to what they do. Yet at the same time they don't control every facet of our life. I just see one either being happy or unhappy in life based on whether they like or dislike the President as not a good recipe.
