i find it curious that the existing structures are not grandfathered in or at the very least the current occupants be allowed to stay until they die

this should be interesting. since we the people no longer have the right to property though, I see in ending badly.

Well, heck. If they can tear down your house to increase revenues, what makes this bad?

badly for the residents that is. no doubt that even though all permits and permissions were obtained to build their homes there, now they will be forced to not only pay to move their homes, but to re-landscape the area to its original condition.

Time to find some scissors to cut some red tape. At the very least they should be grandfathered... However, they shouldn't lose the value of those homes because of some government error that first allowed then denied them decades later.

It makes me sick. But I don't see a legal leg for them after the decision that people could be forced out just to build something that would increase revenues and enrich government cronies...
