The US Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain so they won't have far to go if it really does kick off. Seriously though, you can play that game endlessly, why Libya and not Zimbabwe, Burma and Sudan? Well for the first two, they are practically Chinese colonies now and for Sudan, nobody seems to give a shit anyway.

It's almost as if the UK should actually recognise its position as an utterly bankrupt military power and stop playing soldiers around the world.
