Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, the newest candidate in the Republican presidential field

Guno צְבִי

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
He won't last long in the MAGA party

He drew some distinctions between himself and his rivals Thursday, suggesting that the six-week abortion ban signed into law by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is too severe and showing an openness to changing the country's immigration system.

“I do think that we need to right-size legal immigration and that it should be connected to our employment rate and our declining birth rate,” said Suarez, who has Cuban ancestry. “And I do think we have to do something with those who are undocumented in our country.”

He is an idiot

While our birth rate may have declined our population is still increasing

He is just trying to appeal to illegals

He should be running for the Democratic nomination

White demographic decline has been statistically observed by academics in relation to countries which conduct a national census and include a white racial or ethnic category. Notable experts and scholars of a multitude of fields of study have observed the demographic phenomenon of falling white demography.

From a distance Suarez is very impressive. He’s done an incredible job of selling Florida in general but Miami specifically to California tech firms. A number of companies have relocated to Miami from here. He’s promoted very pro growth policies all while doing so in an upbeat and positive manner.

He’s also spot on on the need to reform our immigration system but too many ideologues on all sides that refuse to negotiate and work together for a fix so we continue with our broken status quo.

He’s obviously not going to win the Presidency but I’m excited to hear his voice on the campaign trail.

Yes, an interesting candidate to watch. I'm thinking Governor though!

However, he announced his candidacy while being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos, and he was asked what he thought about Trump's Indictment, he wavered around looking like a deer in the headlights and evaded the question, by trying to change the subject. George had to interrupt him several times to get him to answer, and basically he refused to say anything about it.

LORD HELP THE REPUBLICANS! :palm:

I don’t follow Florida politics close enough to know what kind of bench they have for their next Governor but would make total sense that’s what he’s interested in and he’s using this as a springboard to running for that office.
