Meta to lay off 10,000 more workers after initial cuts in November

This has nothing to do with wokeness. There are very real issues with the excesses of wokeness, but just labeling any and everything woke does nothing to help with that.

Meta, like a number of other big tech firms, over hired during the post COVID reopening of the economy. And now with rising interest rates etc. they are laying off a number of workers.

When your wokeness pisses off a significant part of your customers it is bad for business.

While true, that's not really the case here. Meta didn't out of the blue change their business model in 2022/2023 and go woke. They've been who they have been for a long time.

(Big) tech firms were in a battle for talent and afraid to lay off workers during the pandemic. In fact many of them kept hiring. Zero interest rates etc. don't last for ever and now they are having to cut back. Business is cyclical and this is a part of it.
