I am surprised everyone is not talking about this. Merz(the probable new leader of Germany) gave a speech that stated that NATO in its current form is possibly going to die, as early as June, of this year. He is stressing the importance of replacing America in Europes defense.

I believe Germany is already building its own nuclear weapons, as is Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Did you know 15% of the components in the F-35 are made in the UK, with about half of them made nowhere else? We may start flying F-35's without ejector seats.

Are you aware that Germany was more than happy to kick out 220 u.s. military installations?

Germany is rents the land for our military bases there. It is valuable land that could be helping their economy, but instead is being given for free to us.

trump has everyone rethinking alliances.

The German government rents the land from the owners, and gives us the use of the land for free.

Do you know what a base is? The USA did not have 220 bases in Germany.

There was some reduction in the number of installations, but there still are large bases in Germany.

You obviously are completely unaware of the terms of the NATO treaty. Germany pays for it's own defense. EVERY European nation in NATO pays for it's own defense.
