We honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

We owe them so much.

Our nation is better off for having them be a part of it.

We are so very fortunate to live in a country where people such as they take their dedication so gravely.

On this Memorial Day, please reflect on how America, as a nation, depends on her people being united behind a cause.

For united we must be, in the United States.

All part of a great Union, made possible and preserved by those we remember today.

An important and meaningful poem.

I think the peacekeepers should get acknowledgment too. The humanitarian missions of the US Armed Forces in Bosnia, Kosovo, Haiti, and in earthquake and tsunami disasters around the world have saved and improved countless numbers of lives.
