I have said this many times.

I do my part to try and get the libertarian party over 5%

It is true that I hate liberal arrogance and probably enjoy seeing them losing 10 fold more than republicans. Additionally when republicans win I get conservative SJC nominations and ideally lower taxes.

But beyond that both parties can suck a dick. Vast majority are deep state shills.

I swear - I would vote for bernie sanders over like.... 70% of a republican lineup.

Sadly I think the deep state is so entrenched we are completely fucked. I don't know if it can be taken down :(

Yep. Bernie or Trump were both Ok in their own way.

The Deep State is part of the Swamp, but it's un-elected and all powerful, It drags everybody under at it's bidding

in the house to some extent. A lot of times though in congress the incumbent wins like 90% of the time because no one blames their guy, it's always the other fools in washington. So I think trump can only stick so much. There is also the fact that the opposition party very often gains seats in the first midterm so on some level it simply can't be helped. As far as the senate is concerned, no, I don't think most republicans are worried. The Senate is still very safe for republicans just based on which states are up for re-election. There are far more failure points for dems than repubs there.

In a normal presidency, under normal circumstances perhaps your conventional wisdom would prove true...
However , there is nothing "normal" about Trump.
He is poison ...
Much of the professional GOP is tight lipped about him right now...
They are quietly coming to terms with the situation and there isn't any rally behind him.
