McCain calls brain cancer prognosis 'very poor' :)

Why would you state that you wanted something that you can't prove in the context of this thread?

I think you were virtue-signaling and slamming Bush and Trump.

Can I prove that? No, but since it was clearly identified as my opinion, I don't need to.

Have you read the help I generously gave you yet, or are you too "riled up"? :rofl2:

And stating that I wanted McCain to win the nomination wasn't me expressing my opinion? Lol ok.

No, silly boy. It was a declarative statement. You stated it as a fact.

"I love the Red Sox!" is a declarative sentence — you're claiming or asserting something. Declarative sentences are the opposite of questions. Known as a "mood" in the grammar world, you can also use declarative to describe other things that make a definite statement.

Didn't you get that far in school?

I'm flattered that you googled declarative statement for my sake, but you can use a declarative statement to voice an opinion. Google that as well.

Don't be flattered. I am always willing to help people who seem to be struggling, because it raises the bar for discussion. I hope that you feel the same and will help me if you can.

Looks like you were mistaken. I noticed you failed to provide the results of your alleged search. Very telling.

I Googled "use a declarative statement to voice an opinion" and here's what came up at #1:

Whether it’s a bold statement or a simple fact, the sole purpose of a declarative sentence is to give information. It always ends with a simple period. And if you’d like to see an example of a declarative sentence, you don’t need to look any further. Actually, every sentence in this paragraph is a declarative sentence.

Are you pretending that it was your opinion that you wanted McCain to be the nominee in 2008, or were you attempting to make a statement of fact?
