So I am going to Mar a Lago today.

I have been living in Palm Beach County for 18 years and never once have I been invited to Trump's castle on the sea, AKA the Southern Whitehouse as it was called many years ago by my distant cousin Marjory Merriwether Post when she willed it to the Federal Government. Mrs. Post felt it should be used as a presidential retreat, but the Federal Government did not agree and sold it. It was later acquired by the Trump Organization and turned into a private beach club.

Long story short, a former client and Palm Beach type called me out of the blue Tuesday and invited me to the Club tonight, I have always wanted to explore the building and see the club so I am excited to go.

Today the Palm Beach Post has an article about how Trump is expected at the club today, Ill let you know if we cross paths.
 
Ya, sorry, I did that once 10 years or so, before the crazies came to this board.

I'm calling bullshit on this...for many reasons...first and foremost there is no way in hell that the cops in Palm Beach let you park your van down by the river.

Don't grovel. It would be so unseemly.
 
I have to admit, it's a beautiful place and the food was very good. The place was crawling with secret service making sure nobody was exercising their first amendment rights. I did see the famous painting that is my avatar on the wall!
