Many don't think corporate raiders create jobs, apparently

automation comes about to lower the costs involved in making a product. that is all. it does have the net result of an increase in profit, but if labor costs stay in line with the value of making the product, it offers no incentive for the employer to automate and can even increase the capital budget needed for automation. therefore, the reason most companies end up automating is because labor has demanded living wages which make costs of producing a product prohibitive. elementary economics.

That has to be the most absurd thing I've read in a long time. You're saying the people who run a company decide they're making enough money and don't look at ways to increase profits. In what satire magazine did you find your economics course?

Capitalism requires the free flow of capital. It is a market system based on capital investment, and depends on a government system committed to capital expenditure and tax incentives to prime the pump. Once the capital starts flowing, the capitalists take your capital and convert it into their capital. Capitalism, at least from the economic perspective of the capitalist, is a capital idea!

Most people are egocentric; they are only concerned about things that affect themselves. The truth about unemployment is evident only when they find themselves unemployed with their jobs outsourced to India, their healthcare cancelled - not to mention the loss of their pension plan. Then, you see, it's a real problem - a problem that the government should do something about!

LOL SO true.

Well, they're right. Corporate raiders like Bain don't create jobs, they eliminate them. These bloodsuckers say that they are making the economy more productive by eliminating waste; but what they're really about is making a quick buck at the expense of everyone else. The robber barons of the past have nothing on their unbridled greed, which would make the most rapacious pirate blush for shame!

complete nonsense
