He was given the smallest possible sentence. Probably wouldn't gotten less had he plead, but he was going for self defense. And what do you know, when your victim happens to be a white man suddenly people stop taking your self serving testimony about how you felt "threatened" seriously.
Also funny that Zimmerman didn't shoot back. I guess he only kills unarmed kids, when he's facing someone armed he wets his pants and runs away.
