Too bad Card was allowed to have a gun. Many lives would have been saved.

He wasn't according to Maine Yellow Flag law

To bad Maine didn't follow the GUN law on the books ..Many lives would have been saved.

It's always funny the way you bastardize laws you know nothing about.
When was Card taken into protective custody and when did a doctor rule he shouldn't have a gun and then when did this doctor inform law enforcement of their determination? Then when did law enforcement take that determination to a judge?

2. Assessment by a medical practitioner; security; immunity. This subsection applies when a law enforcement officer has taken a person into protective custody.

He should have been Maine dropped the ball!

To issue a yellow flag order, a person is taken into protective custody by police and brought to a hospital. Officers fill out a statement arguing that they’ve determined a person is a danger to themselves or others and how they know the person has access to a weapon.

That all gets evaluated and sent to a judge, who makes the official order that an officer must serve within 24 hours. Within 14 days, there’s a hearing to determine if the order will stay in place.

Anyone under a restriction cannot possess or buy any weapons and faces arrest if they do. They’re also put on a registry that’s sent out to licensed gun dealers. If they didn’t give their weapons to a family member for safekeeping, police will seize them until the order is lifted.

He threatened to shoot up and bomb an Army base and NONE of the above was done

Good for you for recognizing that anyone that supports Trump should have their gun rights taken away.

but will you acknowledge that enforcing laws on the books instead of "grabbing all guns" might be the thing to do?

or do you support shirking duties to cause an eventual larger crisis that shouldn't go to waste?

So you two support things like Yellow Flag laws and the forcible assessment and confiscation of guns from people who have not yet done a crime, but the State thinks pose a threat?

no. im opposed to red or yellow or pride flag laws.

but people for them should be for them before gun grabbing.

my point still stands.

No what it proves is you are engaged in bullshit like most gun nuts.

You proclaim that enforcing laws that restrict gun ownership is the key to addressing this issue, while then admitting you do not believe those laws should exist.

i don't support red flag laws.

you do.

that is not the point he is making. What has been lectured to you, time and again, is the futility of more gun laws........you cowards make these gun control laws proclaiming that they will save lives, then when they don't, or they aren't enforced, you want even MORE gun control laws. It's the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

i don't support red flag laws.

you do.

Yes we know.

You support NOTHING being done but play the game of acting like you support a solution.

You will proclaim 'enforcing current laws is the answer' while admitting you do not support current laws that could help deal with this problem.

So you are just engaged in dishonest spin.

I support prosecution of murders.

No.

Stop lying.

He and the other poster when engaged with this question of gun related deaths push an idea that 'enforcing current laws is the answer'.

Meanwhile they actually do not support the laws that they push as an answer and would take them off the books.

That is the game that gun derps play. They point at the gun laws and say 'those are the solution... do not touch our guns... just enforce those laws' while then fighting to get those laws off the books.

I support prosecution of murders.

Indeed.

lots of prosecutions and lots of murders.

Let the school shooting murders pile up and just put the gunmen in jail. Problem solved.

(well except for the increasing number of dead which you DNGAF about)
