A Maine man was killed after being shot by a device he had installed on the front door to protect his home from intruders.

On Thursday evening, the Van Buren Police Department dispatched officers to the home of Ronald Cyr, 65, who reported that he had been shot, according to officials.

Officer Chandler Madore and the Van Buren Ambulance Service arrived to provide medical assistance to Cyr, and discovered that the front door of Cyr's home had been "outfitted with a device designed to fire a handgun should anyone attempt to enter the door," according to a press release.

Probably due to so many dumbass republicans accidently killing themselves while trying to kill others- like in this case!

If the man's house caught on fire- and a fireman or policeman had to knock down the front door just to save his stupid ass- the fireman would be dead.

This was one of those- you play with fire- you may get burned!
 
This gives me an idea to employ all the unemployed oxyTrumplings from the rust belt who screwed America in the last election, professional landmine detectors, maps not included.

I always maintained that those Home Alone movies were going to inspire some tragedies in the white trash community.

I would think that bars on doors and windows are a more sensible approach than trying to jury rig flame throwers and shotguns to the front door.
