I really don't think Kerry (I'm assuming that's the image Dung posted) would make a good SecDef. It's one of those few postings that should actually go to a military minded person.

Define "military minded."

I don't think Kerry will get the nomination largely because it puts his seat up for grabs and Scott Brown could very well win it and if he does get a nomination it's more likely for State than Defense.
 
I'm in favor of this. Although I think it would be a disgrace to the armed forces, it would open up a Senate seat that Scott Brown could potentially take, provided the Dems put up a weak candidate (likely).

He has military experience but its not even close to recent and even that experience is limited.

II have actually forgotten all the posting idiosyncrasies, since I had not posted for few years, I guess. I was playing a lot of online poker until FullTilt Poker went off on "Black Friday". Now I play some live games at the Pechanga or Soboba Casinos, and very occasionally at the Morongo or Pala casinos. This forum seems to run better than AOL/Netscape's with more details as to who is whom(Members vs. Viewers) online at any given moment. When I started posting before, I was really green, did not even know about my AOL email account until someone mentioned on the Board for me to go check it out. I sold some fishing gear/lures on EBay and I printed all the transactions in color for about a year not knowing that I could adjust the HP DeskJet printer to print in B & W in gray scale, with minimum ink. The color cartridges were like 52 Dollars 10 years ago. Still type with one finger, but I am pretty good at it now.
