Everything he says sums up my view on this perfectly - right down to usually voting Democrat, but wanting a Republican to win this year just for some balance:

Uhh no. Both Louie, and this idiot OP are foolishly misinformed. Hitler was promising socialism, and gun confiscation. The man was Bernie Sanders/Hitlery. Promising to "take care of everyone." etc.
 
Thing has generally been good in backing up his threads/claims, I'm curious as to how he will back this one up.

People hear the Hitler comparison & tend to think it's an apples-to-apples comparison, right down the line.

Obviously, there are differences between them. But Trump's rise in popularity is pretty much exactly like Hitler's - xenophobia, stoking hate, manipulating the masses & textbook demagoguery. And a whole lotta false promises.

How many people have to make the comparison before you start to see that there is something to it? Like Louis CK said: we are being Germany in the 30's right now.

You can go either way with the Hitler comparison. Though I don't think it should be made at all, unless one wants to look silly lol.

There was a lot going on in Europe and Germany in the 20's and 30's that's not, thankfully, going on now in this country. Massive inflation, Germany had lost a world war, they were on the wrong side of a treaty as a result---etc etc.

Then there was Hitler and the manner in which he came to power---he was basically a charismatic thug. Trump's a charismatic billionaire that lacks a filter lol. Hitler was into a strange sort of quasi-religious supremacy thing that placed white Germans on top of the food chain. In fact, it would be nice to send the white priviledge advocates back to Germany in s time machine so they could see what actual racial supremacy looks like. But that another issue.

The comparison is silly. No, it's stupid.
 
Calling Trump Hitler is lazy. Basically it's like Godwinning a thread. The only thing more worn out is calling someone a racist.

The real reason Trump is unfit for the job is because he has zero experience in government positions. He's also very crass and shows a complete lack of understanding of how to be respectful.

I wish democrats would nominate Sanders. At least I can trust him on what he says. Hillary is a fucking liar.
