Deputies have arrested a man they say killed his wife who was pregnant with twins.
According to deputies, Michael Boyce initially told investigators that his wife, Alexis, shot herself in their apartment but his story later changed when he was confronted with more evidence.
He eventually told deputies that he accidentally shot her in the head, Sgt. Mike Ruggiero said.
She was eight months pregnant with twins when she was killed. Only one of the boys survived.
Boyce, who was dressed in a white jumpsuit, did not speak to reporters as he was walked to a patrol car that took him to the Orange County Jail early Friday morning.
Boyce faces first-degree murder charges.
