Following repeated missile tests that drew international criticism, China banned all imports of North Korean coal on Feb. 26, cutting off the country's most important export product.

To curb coal traffic between the two countries, China's customs department issued an official order on April 7 telling trading companies to return their North Korean coal cargoes, said three trading sources with direct knowledge of the order.

It's hardly in China's interest for NK to fire nukes---part of China borders NK so they need to think about that.

It's actually not in NK's interest to fire a nuke because they will get to play that card exactly once, then it's game over. It's hard to know if the little dictator is rational enough to realize it, but whatever weapons he has are better off not fired. Worst case scenario his country gone.

Best case scenario, it's a failed attempt and the US [and perhaps China] obliterate their nuke capability. In which case, he's essentially neutered as a power.

NK would then be about as militarily relevant as El Salvador.

I give Kim less than a year to live. I wouldn't be surprised if China offed him...or us. Either way he's most likely dead soon.

He has killed off much of is own family. I doubt NK or anyone in the world will miss him.
I agree that he will not be around much longer.
