my relatives in Ireland also thank you for keeping there family's safe with our military as well as the free college and health-care because of no military cost.

I'm not sure if we have in bases in Ireland. Ireland was basically on the side of the Axis in WWII and just never joined because they would've obviously been pulverized by Britain.
I don't think the foreign bases are a significant part of our budget anyway. And they are obviously very strategically useful; from a bang for your buck standpoint it might be better to cut other things in the military before you start axing foreign bases. Neither of us are experts so I'd rather someone run a study on it before we go one way or the other. Of course, the military is really the only thing I think it's realistic to cut right now (that could plausibly make a significant difference).

Oh, but it isn't, there is a whole lot of trimming could be done there and you would probably be safer in the long run! 765 foreign bases, just not necessary!
