That's just what the YurTroll and wacko are trying to get me to say.
Out come the petty attacks which you claim means you lost.

hmm. good to know.. why can't Trump say that? etc.it is the mexican govt. The best of the best of course get employment in the society they are in. Normally a society would have to place safety nets for the rest. In this case the mexican government "encourages" it by either turning a blind eye to cross border traffic or actively giving out pamphlets explaining to illegals how to cross the borders and enter the US undetected (documented news story).

Remember this is Trump. He's all about marketing, sales and making a splash. He could have said "we need to stop illegal immigration because I believe it costing Americans jobs and it's holding down wages". How much of a splash would that make?
Would we be talking about that today if that is what he said? Chances of that are slim and most likely none .
But make a controversial statement like he did and it brought him the attention he wanted. We can parse his words but he knew what he was doing and it succeeded (so far).
But that approach hasn't gotten anyone anywhere. Trump made immigration a front and center issue with his rhetoric or marketing skills or however you want to put it.
Maybe he wouldn't be any different in office than those who paid the issue lip service without ruffling any feathers, maybe he will.
Part of the reason we have the immigration situation we do is Congress doesn't want to update our immigration laws. Instead of setting up better guest worker programs that allow people to come here legally and to be better tracked for instance we leave everything the same and thus more come here illegally. The demand for low paying labor isn't going to go away. Americans aren't going to be paid $15-$20/hr to clean up hotel rooms. We use cheap immigrant labor for that.
So Trump is selling a bill of goods.
Why couldn't Trump [or anyone] simply secure the border and do whatever needs to be done to keep the existing guest worker system? There's a reticence on the part of both establishments to deal with the issue. Apart from kicking the immigration can down the road. At least Trump appears to be serious about it.
Because it's impossible to 100% secure the border. Just as we can't keep drugs out of the country there is no way to keep all who want to come here illegally from doing so. So a good way to start to secure the border is reforming our laws. That way those who would have otherwise come here illegally do so legally.
Somewhere between the impossible and where we are currently would be a victory.
How many times in last election years have we heard more or less what you just said from the establishment? Why should anyone believe them?
Which is entirely why so many 'gullible' people are attracted to Trump. They're tired of being lied to by the establishment.
It's not really anything to do with the 'establishment'. It's not like we don't know what challenges we face. There is a demand for cheap labor in our country. That's just fact. There is demand, and always has been, for people wanting to come to America. That's the beauty of our country and why we are the best country in the world.
A supposed wall isn't going to limit the demand for cheap labor nor people wanting to come here. And it's a fact that our immigration laws are cumbersome and thus more people come here illegally as a result. That's not establishment that's fact.
Trump isn't building a wall nor is he going to sweep through the country deporting millions of people. That's the dream he's selling but it's not reality.
