I thought given that we have now entered the 8th and thankfully, final year of this community activist's presidency, we can take stock of some of the biggest failings that obama is responsible for. I've no doubt that he will be widely considered as the nation's worst, most incompetent president in its history, and can offer several major blunders right off the top of my head:
1) encouragement of illegals to come to the US, and protection of them while here. He even ordered the INS/border officers working in the detention centers where the hundreds of thousands of illegal alien "children" (i.e., gang members) were being warehoused not to talk to the press about them, just insane.
2) syrian red lines: after staking out a line in the sand that the use of chemical weapons would not be tolerated, he allowed putin to direct the situation and create a nonsensical plan to remove chemical weapons from syria and avoid the justified anihilation of assad. As any rational observer would have expected, assad continued to retain dual use weapons such as chlorine, which were a core part of his barrel bombing campaign mass slaughtering 300K syrian men, women and children. This walking back from such a committment severely damaged the US' credibility in the world, and will take decades to repair.
3) damage to foreign relationships: due to a lunatic, maniacal desire to complate a porous iran agreement, he alienated most of the US' traditional allies across the mideast. His refusal to take stronger measures to stop putin from holding Ukraine territory - in violation of the Budapest Memorandum - has driven allies in the neighborhood of russia such as Poland and the Baltic states to question the viability of the NATO alliance.
4) iran agreement: an item that exhibits obama's tone-deafness and amateur skillset like few others, it grants iran the ability to become a nuclear weapons power in just 10-15 years, and lifts the ban on weapons transfer to terrorist groups in only 8 years. Even stalwart democrats and obama defenders like chuck schumer publicly came out against this "deal," which looks more like a capitulation to most of iran's demands.
