In my view it doesn't matter. Between the teacher's unions and the federal Dept. of Education, they couldn't fuck public education up more than they already have. So, it doesn't matter who's the Secretary of Education, they can't do a worse job than that department is already doing.

I think they do have an interest in improving it, mostly by eliminating it. It's like trying to take a 1980 Cadillac Eldorado and turn it into a 2025 Ferrari. Isn't going to happen. Better just to junk it and start over entirely new.

How about just doing away with it? It’s only been around since 1980. Schools were better before then.
