Limbauh/Joe the Plumber '12!

Well, it used to be the common man or women run for President.

Now according to some it seems, you should only be a slick talking spin master to run..

We need to go back to the common people running things and get rid of the career politicians..

They are the face of the republican party. Mostly white middle aged uneducated men and their brainwashed trailor trash wives.

Yeah, that's what we need. More dopy hicks in the White House making "common sense" decisions, and not those hoity toity intellectual types!

Your fake plumber husband just got home. He's ready for his hamburger helper you white trash moron.

What common men have run for president? I can think of very few, Truman being the last one (and he sucked).

The first "Log Cabin" presidential campaign was for WH Harrison, who was well-bred, upper-crust material and who had not actually been raised in a log cabin.

Lincoln was born into abject poverty, but like Nixon (the next president up who rivals Lincoln for squalid living conditions in their youth), had risen to the top of society in Illinois/California as a lawyer long before running for national office.

I see that the dems are now totally terrified that the republicans might actually pull themselves up from their bootstraps and make a comeback. the full court press of belittling and name calling anyone republican/conservative is on like donkey kong.

People just have superbly low attention spans. They forget that both parties have repeatedly been in disordered and dire straits throughout history, just as the Dems were after the 2002 midterm elections.

I haven't seen a single Republican that gives me reason for concern in 2012. Palin, Joe, Rush, Jindal are all jokes.

It won't matter who the candidate is if Obama is out of favor with the public come 2012. Having a strong candidate is just good for hanging on to power.

Do you really imagine that of Bush could win a second term despite all his fuckups that Obama is going to get the public to turn on him somehow before 2012?

Yes. In 2004, most people did not perceive him to have fucked up yet. They believed his foreign policy was transforming the Mideast and making us safer.

People will be keeping track of the economy all the way from now, and if he is perceived to have been a failure, he will not get re-elected. Take Carter and Bush I, for examples.
