Huh? What's the problem? Doesn't ObamaCare have a provision to help those who can't afford it? If professor's hours are cut that means other professors will have to be hired so we have more people employed and more people obtaining health care.
Nice try. Adjunct professors are part time contract employees and as such must secure their own healthcare.
But he spent hundreds of thousands for an education.Let's look a little deeper. Clicking on your link I found another link in the article which brought me to http://blogs.the-american-interest....es-bludgeon-adjuncts-with-obamacare-loophole/.
(Excerpt) In Ohio, instructor Robert Balla faces a new cap on the number of hours he can teach at Stark State College. In a Dec. 6 letter, the North Canton school told him that “in order to avoid penalties under the Affordable Care Act… employees with part-time or adjunct status will not be assigned more than an average of 29 hours per week.”
Mr. Balla, a 41-year-old father of two, had taught seven English composition classes last semester, split between Stark State and two other area schools. This semester, his course load at Stark State is down to one instead of two as a result of the school’s new limit on hours, cutting his salary by about a total of $2,000.
Stark State’s move came as a blow to Mr. Balla, who said he earns about $40,000 a year and cannot afford health insurance. (End.)
Assuming Mr Balla works 52 weeks a year at 29 hrs/wk that's 1508 hrs/yr. Currently he earns $40,000 which will be reduced by $2000 equaling $38,000/yr. $38,000/yr divided by 1508 hrs gives us $25.00/hr. Perhaps he should go to WalMart and cry on those employee's shoulders.![]()
I doubt it. there will be less hours taught, not an increase in teachers to cover the same hours taught (that matches the savings they're hoping to create).
LOL @ your economic ignorance
But he spent hundreds of thousands for an education.
Walmart retards( go to a Walmart their staff are retarded) dropped out of high school!!
You just totally went off the wall against your obamacult teaching!!
Obamessiah is fucking his own base, you are excusing it!!
Personally I'm laughing my fucking arse off !!
Liberal professors suffering the results of their dogma!!
Couldn't be happier !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you for providing proof that you have absolutely no concept of reality.Suffering? Give me a break. A $2,000 decrease on a salary of $40,000 is 5%. If an individual (a professor, no less) can not adjust their living expenses to accommodate that then they shouldn't be teaching anyone anything. That's $769/wk less $38/wk. Cry me a river.

This is so hilarious given that during the last Presidential election, Obama's campaign had people send in tweets about what they could do with $2000. Now all of a sudden you act as if $2000 is no big deal. It is amazing to see you twist yourself in knots defending this guy and his warped, destructive policies.
Seriously, is it always party over principle for you?
