Gonna rant again this year. The 2nd or 3rd year in a row. Skip this post if desired.
STRANDED…AGAIN. If there were some way to fly any airlines other than American out of Fort Smith, AR, I would. I would gladly never fly American again. EVERY YEAR after scheduling flights to get us back home from my wife’s folks at a decent time (supposed to have been 5:45 pm this time) we find ourselves MAYBE getting back to Fort Smith by midnight. What used to be a decent, quick flight has become an awful experience of all day waiting in an airport either in Nashville or Dallas. I’m thinking the common denominator is American Airlines. I’m ready to start driving the 2 1/2 hours to Tulsa to have some choices of airlines.
The ONLY advantage to flying over driving is to save time, IMO. Driving is cheaper, more reliable, and I can carry what I want in my vehicle. Well, being able to save time is no longer true…at least for this flight and American Airlines.
