Dec 17 (Reuters) - Retired Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz told President Donald Trump the U.S. Constitution was not clear about whether he could serve a third term, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

Dershowitz told the newspaper he had made the comment during a discussion with Trump on Tuesday about a draft copy of a book the lawyer had written on whether he could constitutionally serve a third term.

Would be helpful if you could provide his reason the 22nd Amendment ("No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice") doesn't mean what it says.

Easy. His third term wouldn't come from being elected but rather appointed.

In 28 the left will claim that the country simply cannot vote for whoever the nominee is, most likely Vance,...because they will end up having their pre election day VP candidate step down shortly after winning election,...then appointing Trump as VP,....then stepping down themselves which would clear the road for Trump to once again be POTUS. Its crazy stuff/ fear mongering and ghost stories told around a campfire...LOL. But hey,....THAT is what the left does. Bunch of stupid shit with zero chance of happening. Now that's not to say Trump wont feed into the lefts nonsense,....he ALWAYS does,.....that's how he PLAYS you like fools. While the morons of the left spend their time chasing nonsense he is getting things accomplished elsewhere. :ROFLMAO:

donald trump is giving a thumbs up while giving a speech at the united states capitol .
