This is similar to the lawsuit that was brought against the Trump Foundation. That lawsuit resulted in the Trump charity having to pay a large settlement, shut down, and Donald and his children being barred from being on the board of any charity in NY. The results here are likely to be a large settlement, Trump Companies restricted from operating in NY, and Trump and his children being barred from being on the board of any company in NY.

The biggest danger for Trump may be that the IRS will file a lawsuit to recover money for tax write offs Trump took for charitable donations where the donation was overvalued. They could make it a criminal indictment rather than just civil.

No one said anything about bringing down Trump, at this point it is a civil suit, however it could cost Trump dearly in the future, if not directly momentarily, his financial futures, ain’t many lending institutions out there going to be jumping up and down to loan him money. Also further tarnishes the already disgraced Trump name, let alone actual criminal investigations the IRS may start
