Fed investigation: Some notable Republicans have criticized the Trump administration’s criminal investigation of the Federal Reserve chair, Jerome H. Powell. Two members of the Senate Banking Committee, Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, voiced concerns with the inquiry as did Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who suggested it was an attempt at “coercion.”
