I'ne noticed that none of the “true believers” seem to make any effort to reduce their own consumption of resources.

It appears to me that they are content to make demands that everyone else reduce their own quality of life.

Have any of them deleted their social media profiles or stopped using the Internet (electricity generation and gigantic server farms emit a lot of CO₂)?"

Have any of them stopped traveling (unless it's by so-called "green means")?

Have any of them ceased consuming food, water, or personal comforts created with and transported by so-called "fossil fuels?"

Worse, their proposed solutions are usually grossly expensive, always require a massive expansion of government, limit personal freedoms, on top of being impractical to impossible to implement, not to mention ineffective when tried.

As for their personal consumption, I doubt any have given up all plastic and rubber products, items derived from oil, the use of lubricants, etc. For them oil = fuel used in cars and that's that. Everything else oil is used for is ignored. It's like they go to the grocery store and think that's where all the products they're buying come from as if by magic.
