Klepto-Joe's hypocrisy has killed international sport

“When Palestinians ask the world to impose [a] sporting boycott on Israel’s barbaric apartheid regime, we’re told sport has nothing to do with politics.” Ali Abunimah tweeted. “Iranian athletes who refuse to play teams from Israel, which carries out terror attacks and assassinations on their soil, are penalised.”

Abunimah continued, “By contrast, refusing to play Russia is seen as the natural and correct position. This tells us that those same countries/sports bodies who refuse to boycott Israel are not “neutral” or “apolitical,” but emphatically support Israel’s apartheid and persecution against Palestinians.”

Other people on social media reacted to the sports boycotts against Russia, saying that such decisions are subjected by the West and are not neutral.

“In the past, they said keep sports away from politics, but today they are punishing Russia through sports. In the past, they were with press freedom and the other opinion, but today Russian media is banned and internet speed is being reduced.” Ameer Thiqar tweeted.

“In the past, any military mobilisation for fighting in another country are called militias, but now embassies open to mobilise fighters. It’s the Western Hypocrisy,” Thiqar added.

By attempting to force his ' With us or against us ' mantra on to NATO countries- and others- Biden has irreparably damaged not just the global trading system but international detente through sport. Sport's ruling bodies have been exposed as nests of double-standards , claiming that ' sport is above politics ' on one hand while forcing their loaded politics onto sportspersons on the other.

Get down to the nub of this NATO-enforced world-wide catastrophe. It was always a staggering hypocrisy for NATO to posture itself as the defender of ' self-determination ' for Ukraine while simultaneously preening over its crushing of self-determination elsewhere. NATO is a gang led by the United States to promote its own Russophobic interests. It advanced towards Russia after claiming that it would not, armed countries bordering Russia and subverted their internal politics. It pushed Russia beyond its tolerance limits and now its fear and hatred has irreparably corrupted global trade and global interactions on all levels including sport.
Klepto-Joe's desire to end Russo-European co-operation through canceling Nord Stream hasn't just bitten him on the ass- it's decapitated him as a moral and rational leader. Putin has responded accordingly.
